Many years ago, it would seem crazy that you could build your own homemade solar panels. But now, we can do it. Actually, virtually anyone can do it – just by using a set of simple instructions and items found at nearly any hardware stockist.

But, why would you would like to build your own solar panels? It is too expensive to do it just as a spare time activity, and most people like better fun ways to spend their money. There are two main factors why people value more highly to install solar panels.

First off, you will reduce your financial outlay – and a great part of it. Over the course of several years, you could save thousands of dollars, and if you generate enough power, you might even earn money back from the utility company. Energy generated from your solar panels goes into running your appliances, heating your water and your house, and the rest of it can go back into the power grid.

The tax breaks you will have as a consequence of solar energy are also considerable, and can keep repaying for some time to come. And, don’t forget that your house has considerable added value for each and every solar panel you set up.

The second reason why people install solar energy is as it really is the most environmentally- genial of all energy sources. There is no waste, the energy is renewable, and there is no reliance on any kind of fossil fuel.

Yes, you can build your own solar panels and you don’t have to be a genius to do it. Many householders with no construction or engineering knowledge have built and installed solar panels by themselves at their homes and seen amazing results. It is not uncommon to see dramatic drops in utility bills in even the first month after installation and for years to come.

Before you purchase a wind turbine, the first factor to consider is if the energy produced by a wind turbine can pay for itself in 10 years or less. The second factor to consider is installation and ownership cost. Poor reliability, low quality and high maintenance will greatly increase ownership cost and make the wind turbine impossible to pay for itself. The third factor is environment and safety. A wind turbine should be safe for high winds, quiet and have no vibrations to make it residential/home friendly. WindMax wind turbines can meet the above requirements and do much more: * Designed and built by an experienced wind turbine technology R&D team that are committed to innovation and quality. * CE and ISO certified * Amazingly quiet operation with little or no vibration. * Reliable two-moving-part maintenance free design. No problematic furling. * Fully automatic with blade aerodynamic braking and controller electromagnetic braking. * Safe operation at high wind. Survival wind speed is up to 134 mph (3 blades models). Old style fiberglass blades make the old style furling based wind turbine a hazard at high wind. * High efficiency is achieved by matching the design of the generator and blades. * Patented Blades with twisted aerodynamic design and high efficiency are made using the latest advanced thermoplastic engineering and precision injection molding technology for highest strength, performance and durability. * Easy installation, no welding needed. Pole connector provided for standard Schedule 40 2 pipe pole. * High quality generator design with strong neodymium magnets. Every magnet must go through stringent tests before use ! * The blades are made of high-strength Nylon-fiberglass materials. They are not the hollow fiberglass blades which are dangerous in high wind and need to be replaced in a couple of years. Rated 400W @ 12 m/s or 26 mph Maximum Power: 600W with wind/solar hybrid Blade Diameter: 4.6 Feet ....read more

Residential solar energy is fast becoming an inevitability – not an option. Our environment is dying, now one can finger-count a few nature spots to go to for leisure, relaxation or just enjoy nature. Global warming signs are all around us and ignoring them is being in denial. These days governments are offering incentives for homeowners and tenants to use solar power. Residential solar power is now a necessity in order to combat global warming and reduce our monthly power bills!

There is some debate among prospective and existing homeowners about the cost of residential solar power. Most feel a residential solar power system is too expensive for an average homeowner. And they also share the same feeling that, in earnest, solar power is a green energy solution and can combat global warming. However the cost seems to thwart any thought of having solar power for residential use. A few that know about do-it-yourself systems seem to be dragged into the notion that DIY solar power products are a fraud and a scam. As a word of caution, due diligence must be exercised before anyone can deem anything a scam or fraud because my failures are not necessarily your failures. Some of the homeowners seem to be misled into believing that residential solar is expensive and it cannot be built from scratch as a DIY project.

Below is a video on solar energy that would shed some light into how necessary and important solar energy is in our lives.
